Find out how to order an extra waste, recycling or garden waste bin
Black bin (general waste)
We may be able to supply you with an extra black bin, depending on the circumstances. If you're finding that your black bin is always full, you can put any extra general waste into a black plastic sack. You can seal each bag with a pink or red tag. These cost £2.45 each (plus £2.00 postage). You can find out more and order them on our red tags page.
You can also take your extra waste to one of Norfolk County Council's household recycling centres.
There are some circumstances where we may be able to supply you with an extra black bin.
To make a request, please complete our online form, and we'll assess your application. Or we may work with you to try to reduce the volume of your waste.
Green bin (recycling)
In most circumstances, additional green recycling bins are available free of charge. We'll inform you of any associated costs (if applicable) when you order your new bin(s).
Brown bin (garden waste)
You can apply for an additional brown bin using our online request form. If you're ordering a brown bin for the first time, please visit our garden waste bin page.
Both new and additional garden waste bins are a charged for service. Currently this is £64.80 annually. Once you've applied, we'll contact you about the pro-rata cost of adding the extra bin to your existing account.
To apply for an additional brown bin you'll need:
- your contact details
- your brown bin customer ID number
Order an extra bin
You can request an extra bin using our online form. You can now track the progress of your report through registering for our My Account service.
Registering for an account is easy and will allow you to securely access our services 24/7.
To request an extra black or green bin you'll need your:
- address details
- contact details
What happens next?
Once we've received your application we'll contact you about your request. Or if you automatically qualify for a bin we'll deliver this within two weeks.
