West Norfolk emissions

Find out about the area's carbon emissions

About carbon emissions

When humans extract, refine, transport, and burn fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, and oil, we release extra carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.

Every year the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero releases local authority area estimates for carbon dioxide emissions (CO2). We review this data on an annual basis to monitor how our area's emissions have changed.
