How to pay your Council Tax over the phone
Telephone Payment Line
You can pay your Council Tax by using our automated telephone payment line on 01553 616671.
What you'll need to pay:
- your Council Tax account number (you can find this on your bill)
- a valid debit or credit card
Once you've paid you will hear a reference number that is unique to your payment. This number will act as your receipt.
We'll process your payment by the end of the working day. If the payment is made before 4:45pm it will show on your account the next working day.
Pay by Direct Debit
Paying by Direct Debit is quick and easy. You can use our online form to:
- set up a new Direct Debit
- change your bank details
- change your instalment date
- change your method of payment
We can spread your payments over 10 or 12 months within the financial year. If paying by Direct Debit you can choose to pay on the 1st, 5th, 15th, or 25th of each month.
