Regulation 16
Walpole Parish Council submitted The Walpoles Neighbourhood Plan to the council on 13 February 2025 in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Regulation 15. We have reviewed the submitted documentation and can confirm this meets the requirements of Regulation 15.
As the relevant local planning authority, we are now required to consult on the submitted Neighbourhood Plan prior in advance of an independent examination, under Regulation 16.
The consultation will last seven weeks from Monday 24 March 2025 until 11:59pm on Monday 12 May 2025 (inclusive). This is a week longer than the statutory minimum (6 weeks), to take account of the Easter and May Bank Holidays. Responses will be given directly to the examiner to determine if the plan meets the “basic conditions”, the statutory tests that a Neighbourhood Plan needs to fulfil.

A hard copy of the plan is available to view at the Council offices 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.45pm on Fridays at:

Making Representations
Representations should be submitted by 11:59pm on Friday 12 May 2025.
If possible they should be submitted using our online questionnaire below which will enable us to process these in an efficient and timely manner.

The Walpoles Neighbourhood Plan (first draft) was consulted upon by the Parish Council during October – December 2024, under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Regulation 14.
