How to apply for a full or minor variation
Minor variation
If you want to make small changes to your licence, you can submit a minor variation. Small changes include:
- change to the premises layout or structure
- small adjustments to licensing hours (not including sale of alcohol hours)
- removal or addition of conditions
- to add licensable activities (other than the sale of alcohol)
A minor variation application will only be accepted by the licensing authority where the proposed change could not impact adversely on the licensing objectives. You may wish to contact the licensing team prior to submitting your application.
The fee for a minor variation is £89.00. Please read our minor variation guidance before completing the form.
To apply for a minor variation you'll need:
- premises licence number
- a credit or debit card for the fee
Full variation
Please complete this application if you need to:
- make major changes to the layout of a premises
- revise the licensable activities on the current licence (including the sale of alcohol)
This application is the same as a brand new application. But, it has an advantage; only the changes are considered in the consultation process.
To apply for a full variation you'll need:
- premises licence number
- a credit or debit card for the fee
What happens next?
Once your application is accepted, we'll let you know. And we'll send the public notice for you to display on the premises.
