Information about the Love Your Town investment fund
About the scheme
The Love Your Town scheme 2023/24 provided an investment fund of up to £6,000 to support and grow the local economy, increase pride in the area, and increase footfall into the town centre.
Community groups and businesses were invited to apply for a grant of up to £1,000 to bring ideas and initiatives to life and help generate footfall and activity into the local town centres of Downham Market, Hunstanton and Kings Lynn.
The £6,000 investment pot was provided through UK Shared Prosperity Funding via the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, and funding from Norfolk County Council.
A ‘Dragons Den’ style competition was held locally for applicants to present their idea to a panel to ask for a small share of funding.
Awards 2023/24
Love Your Town funding has been awarded to the following successful projects:
- The West Norfolk Food & Drink Festival (Hunstanton)
- Outdoor Cinema Screening (King’s Lynn)
- Pewter Pilgrims (King’s Lynn)
- Tower Street Winter Warmer (King’s Lynn)
