Information on help you can receive if you have children
Food schemes for families
All children in years R, 1 and 2 automatically get free school meals if they go to school. If you have children older than this and you receive certain benefits, your child could be eligible for free school meals. Apply on the Norfolk County Council website.
If you have a child who is eligible for free school meals you will receive a monthly cost of living voucher, which can be spent on essentials in supermarkets. Find out more about cost of living vouchers on Norfolk County Council's website.
If you're more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk. If you're eligible, you'll be sent a Healthy Start card with money on it that you can use in some UK shops. Money is added to this card every 4 weeks. Find out if you're eligible and apply.
