West Norfolk residents will receive their annual waste and recycling bin calendars for 2023/24 this month.
To be delivered by the bin crews, the calendar will detail bin collection dates from April 2023 to March 2024 and any changes because of bank holidays.
Also, you can now place your household batteries out for collection with your waste or recycling bin and they will be taken by Serco to be recycled. Place your used batteries in a small clear bag (freezer bag or similar size) on top of your green or black bin on your normal collection day.
Batteries must be left on top of the bin. If they are not separated, they will go into the body of the vehicle, where they risk being crushed, which can cause vehicle fires or potentially cause fires at the processing facility.
Find out when your bin collection is, what goes in each bin, along with more details about used household battery and small electrical item collections at west-norfolk.gov.uk/yourbins
This calendar, to be delivered to every household in west Norfolk, also contains a reminder that you now need photo ID to vote at a polling station for the local elections due to take place on 4 May 2023. There are details of the ID accepted, how to apply for photo ID and how to get further support.
Please note there is no change to your normal collection day for waste and recycling unless due to bank holidays.
