West Norfolk Wins community lottery is celebrating its 5th birthday with a competition where five good causes or charities could each win a share of £5000.
The West Norfolk Wins Lottery has raised more than £136,000 for the local community since 2018 and more than £65,000 has been given away in winnings. The 5th Birthday Bonus, launched on 25 September and will run for 5 weeks, giving good causes a chance to win a share of £5,000 prize money.
Good causes in West Norfolk are being urged to sign up to the West Norfolk Wins Community Lottery to unlock its unlimited fundraising potential. 70 local groups are already signed up to this fun and effective way to raise funds for valued services in the community.
All current and new causes will have the opportunity to take part in the 5th Birthday Bonus competition. It couldn’t be easier. To be in with a chance of winning, each good cause just needs to increase their ticket sales by 20 tickets by promoting their presence in the community lottery to their supporters.
The Birthday Bonus will close on 29 October. All good causes that have achieved the required increase in ticket sales will be placed in a draw. Five lucky winners will be randomly selected at a publicly held draw.
Cllr Chris Morley, cabinet member for Finance at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk said:
“We wanted to celebrate this 5th birthday by helping 5 local causes win a share of £5,000. Existing good causes benefit by giving their fund raising a boost with extra promotion of their participation in the lottery, and new causes benefit by unlocking the unlimited fundraising opportunity of this community lottery. New and existing causes all have the chance of winning an additional £1,000 for their cause by taking part in this 5th Birthday Bonus competition.
“If you run a charity or good cause, get involved today and give your fundraising a boost. If you don’t run a charity, but you know someone who does, spread the word and tell them about the opportunities for fundraising that West Norfolk Wins offers.”
The causes that are signed up to West Norfolk Wins have access to a host of marketing materials, and their own lottery web page, making it easy to gain supporters.
