On Thursday 30 November voters in Docking are due to go to the polls to vote in the parish council election.
Anyone not already registered to vote must do so by midnight on Tuesday 14 November if they wish to cast a vote in this election.
If enough valid nominations are received, voting will take place at:
- Dr. Ripper Memorial Hall, High Street, PE31 8NG
- Bircham Social Club, Church Lane, PE31 6XS
VOTERS WILL NEED TO CHECK THEIR POLL CARD TO ESTABLISH WHICH POLLING STATION TO ATTEND.
The polling stations will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm.
If no valid nominations are received, the election will be re-run at a later date. If not enough valid nominations are received, nominees will be automatically co-opted onto the council.
Anyone who is unable to vote in person can check if they are eligible for a postal or proxy vote by contacting the borough council's Electoral Services team on 01553 616773.
The deadline for applications to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 15 November (for new postal voting arrangements and amendments to existing arrangements, including postal proxies). This is also the deadline for amendments to existing arrangements to vote by proxy.
The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 22 November.
The deadline for emergency proxy vote applications (if the emergency arose after 5pm on 22 November) is 5pm on Thursday 30 November.
The votes will be counted on Friday 1 December at the borough council offices, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1EX, with the result expected to be declared by noon.
