West Norfolk Wins, the weekly lottery that directly supports local good causes and community initiatives, has already had 120 cash winners so far in 2025, winning over £5,000!
For the month of April when you play West Norfolk Wins your ticket also enters you into the national monthly super draw. If you win this prize draw there is a chance to win a luxury city break or you can choose to plant 1000 trees in their new campaign. This super draw closes on the 26th of April.
Cllr Chris Morley, Cabinet member for Finance at the Borough Council, said:
"I am always pleased to hear about the local good causes that are benefiting from support of people playing the lottery. And, with the super draw, there are more reasons to buy a ticket. I want to highlight that the community lottery is making prizes for everyone with this new 1000 trees campaign.
We have over 70 causes that you can choose to support when playing the community lottery and the proceeds generated from supporting our West Norfolk Wins Fund is spent on providing vital support to a wide range of local organisations and community initiatives which have a beneficial impact on the local community.”
Charles Muff, who plays West Norfolk Wins and supports Gaywood Valley Conservation Group, matched 4 numbers on Saturday 29 March and won £250, he said:
“Having joined the lottery about five years ago through the Gaywood Valley Conservation Group, where I also serve as treasurer, I’ve experienced firsthand the positive impact of supporting local good causes. Since then, I've had my share of modest wins, including a £5 prize and several free entries, culminating in a delightful £250 win!
What drew me to the lottery was knowing that a significant 60% of ticket sales goes back to our community, directly benefiting organizations we care about. While I do make charitable donations where every penny counts, the lottery offers a unique blend of supporting good causes while also having a chance to win something for myself.
Receiving the results via email is always exciting, especially when there’s good news awaiting. While I might not have treated myself to a new Rolex just yet with my winnings, each surprise win is a reminder of hope and the community we've built together.”
We spoke to another lucky winner from February, Mx Reeves, who said:
"I was thrilled to have won £250 on the community lottery! It feels incredible to know that not only am I benefiting, but my contribution helps support local causes and makes a real difference in our community. I support Little Discoverers, West Norfolk School for Parents who provide early education for pre-school children with motor learning difficulties and delayed development. I chose to support them because my grandson, had a stroke while in the womb and was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy, he is now 17 months old but has come on leaps and bounds since going to Little Discoverers! The group is not just beneficial to my grandson but is a great support to his parents as well. Our first win was £25 which we gave back to the charity and then we were really surprised to win £250. I would recommend everyone plays West Norfolk Wins and supports our local good causes”.
