A request to hold an election to fill one vacancy on the Gaywood South division of Norfolk County Council has been received.
The date of the election (subject to a contest) has been fixed as Thursday 29 July 2021.
The Notice of Election will be published on Thursday 24 June 2021, and nomination papers must be received by the Returning Officer after that date, but no later than 4pm on Friday 2 July. Anyone who is not already registered to vote must register by Tuesday 13 July 2021 to be able to vote in this election.
Residents will be able to find the location of their polling station on their poll card, these will be posted out from around 12 July 2021. Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Anyone unable to vote in person on that day should check if they are eligible for a postal or proxy vote by contacting Electoral Services on 01553 616773.
The deadline for applications to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 14 July 2021 (whether new or an amendment to an existing arrangement, including postal proxies).
The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Thursday 21 July 2021.
The last day for receipt of emergency proxy vote applications is 5pm on Thursday 29 July 2021.
Postal votes will be dispatched around 16 July 2021.
The counting of the votes will be held on Friday 30 July 2021 at 10am at the King’s Centre, Wellesley Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1QD
