Dead animal removal

Guidance notes

We can only remove dead animals, which are on council land, public areas and adopted highway.

We cannot remove:

  • dead animals from private land
  • dead animals from a fast flowing road
  • small dead wildlife, for example rats, pigeons
  • dead sheep, horses or any other farm animals in fields

For further advice, please contact the Environmental Agency.

We need to know the location of the dead animal. On the form you will need to enter a nearby postcode, street name or town to begin. You will then be able to drag the pin on the map to adjust the location of the dead animal.

If the dead animal has already been reported to us, a red block will show on the map.
